Contemporary Artist Biography
Born in Ensenada, Baja California, Victor Amaya studied advertising art at the La Joya Academy of Arts. He won second place at the Bi-Annual ICBC in 1991.
In 1994, he traveled to Milan, Italy, where he received a degree in sculpting from the BRERA Academy. In the mid-90’s he opened his gallery, and his career flourished. It was during this time that he started creating coffee art. Over time, he created the “Art’s Movement.” He invited painters and sculptors by creating a community of contemporary artists.
In 2007, he curated an exhibition entitled “Arts on the Streets” – deliberately pushing for local talent in the area. He became known as a distinguished supporter of the arts.
