Contemporary Artist Biography

Born in Ensenada, Baja California, Victor Amaya studied advertising art at the La Joya Academy of Arts. He won second place at the Bi-Annual ICBC in 1991.

In 1994, he travelled to Milan, Italy, where he received a degree in sculpting from the BRERA Academy. In the mid-90's he opened his gallery, and his career flourished. Over time, he created the "Art's Movement." He invited painters and sculptors by creating a community of contemporary artists.

In 2007, he curated an exhibition entitled "Arts on the Streets" - deliberately pushing for local talent in the area. He became known as a distinguished supporter of the arts.
